We’re proud to be able to offer a wide range of Orthopaedic Services.

We are well resourced for small animal orthopaedics and trauma management.

  • Vetsouth offer a full range of radiography facilities with X-ray machine and automatic processor.

  • Ultrasound is used to help accurately assess some patients with traumatic injuries
  • Advanced instrumentation that supports a wide range of surgical procedures

The Diagnostic and surgical services that we offer include:

  • Lameness examination
  • Trauma management and high quality care for the injured patient
  • Traditional joint and bone surgery
  • Ligament injury repairs
  • Reduction and casting of broken bones when appropriate
  • Joint fusion (arthrodesis) surgery, most commonly of severely damaged tarsus and carpal joints
  • Radiographic screening for heritable joint diseases such as hip dysplasia and elbow dysplasia
